Interpretive Landacape Painting
Leisure Village June 12 to 13 10 am to 4 pm
$100.00
The theme for the workshop is learning to interpret photo reference to develop your own creative landscape painting style. The hands-on part of the workshop will focus on the painting process. This includes preparing the surface, drawing the image, blocking in and adjustments to the initial block-in that leads to final completion. I will, however, show how I went from the initial photograph to a design concept that directs the development of the painting. We will work with two references. I will be providing the reference photos. The paintings may need to be finished at home because of the need to have the paint dry for a final finish adjustment. Although I will work in oil, students can use other media such as acrylic paint or pastel assuming they are already familiar with the media.
